These are two-sided with one side black and the other one white so you can choose the best one fro you (and the pieces you are sorting). This are not only great for sorting but also work as an extra space and for moving pieces around.
 
One side is open with an intention that it's easier to get pieces in and out. I can totally recommend these. And Zak is super nice!!!
